|
| Round 1 & 2: |
I Wind Borne Speed my Clay Soldiers, led by The
Nameless One (exp), he WBS his Oni Horde, led by Moto Tsume and we
ran towards the center of the field. Isawa Tsuke fired off a Fury of
Osano Wo, he played Turtle Shell, very few hit, no damage
done.
|
| Round 3: |
|
Oni no Tsuburu kept advancing, attempting to flank my Wave Masters, who
was lead by Isawa Tsuke. Tsubru got within 8" of my two hidden units of
Earth Elementals, one led by Asako Yasu, other by a Guardian of Fire.
Lucky for him, his Necromancer casted Torrential Rain that round, which
spent him, not allowing Yasu to challenging him to a duel. |
| Round 4: |
| Yasu started to give chase to his shugenja unit. I spun
my other Earth Elementals around to cut off Tsuburu if I can and to help
support the battle that was going to meet in the center. I kept going with
Tsuke to try to reach the Lantern. The Clay Soldiers continue to advance. He
did the same, moving the Oni Horde and Ogre Warriors towards the center. The
Water Elementals was drawing away the other Ogre Warrior unit, which I'd hoped
to be used as a delayed tactic. |
| Round 5: |
|
Tsuke arrived at the Lantern and got a Writ of Command. He charged the
Clay Soldiers with his Oni Horde. Yasu challenged his shugenja to a duel,
which was accepted by his Minor Oni Servant. Yasu dispatched the Servant
without a problem. His Oni Hordes did 5 wounds to the Clay Soldiers. |
| Round 6: |
| The Nameless One using his Kiso and challenged Tsume to
a duel. Tsume lost his head, the Oni Horde broke. Oni no Tsuburu charged into
the Wave Masters and started a bloodbath. |
| Round 7: |
|
Using the Writ Tsuke just got, he turned to face the Oni, however
leaving his flank open to the Ogre Warriors, led by an Ogre Bushi with
"Revenge". The Wave Masters did 3 wounds to the Oni. |
| Round 8: |
The Nameless One used Jade Strike on the Oni,
leaving the Oni with only 1 wound. His Ogre Warriors slammed into the Wave
Masters, doing 11 points of damage, destroying the Wave Masters and leaving
Tsuke with also 1 wound. Tsuke broke. His other Ogre Warrior unit lead by an
Ogre Outlaw engaged the Water Elementals, they sat and traded shots, giving
him the advantage because I didn't have any support for the Water Elementals.
| Round 9: |
|
Yasu's Earth Elementals engaged the broken Oni Horde,
routing them. Tsuke ran and died. The Nameless One charged the Oni but
failed to do the last point of damage.
|
| Final Results:Phoenix 6 - Shadowland 13.
Analysis: It was actually closer since Tsume was worth 5 VP, but
didn't count because of The Nameless One's Kiso. But I screwed up by getting
too anxious. I left Tsuburu with 1 wound. I blocked my own flanking unit, and
left my Water Elementals unsupported. I didn't need to rush to the Lantern,
which exposed me to the superior HTH of the Shadowland army. Tsuke didn't even
get to fire off his 24 dice spell. |
